Our most important and final nomination of this year. We have selected five of the most iconic albums on Indie Boulevard – coherent, complete, sometimes monumental works that do honour to an album format that has been often neglected in recent times. Our selection of the best albums of the year proves that no external circumstances can hold back the thirst and freedom of creativity. This is what we appreciate most about independent music. The list contains the Sparkys’ second longplay, the spacious and melodic “Goddaughters” by Zach Phillips, the experimental “New Inception” by Colour Of The Sky, the minimalistic “Cherished” by Pranatricks and, of course, the masterful folk album “Roots” by York Street Thought Process. There’s a lot of good music came out in 2022! It’s always hard to choose the best one, but we did it! 🙂 Who’ll win? Find out in the January issue of our digital monthly magazine.
