Under the stormy sky resonates a rock so mind-boggling and powerful that it’s as if the winds of time carry it forward, breaking through the walls of ordinariness. In the epicenter of this hurricane, Skies Behind are rushing towards you. No obstacles scare them, they break through, paving their way to the peaks of music festivals and vast arenas.
January 5, 2024, witnessed the birth of the debut EP of the band titled “The Spaces.” I can confidently say that from this moment, a new era began, and with their debut EP, the musicians were able to create a buzz around them comparable only to the power of their music. Everyone who immerses themselves in this album will be struck by its conceptual elaboration, stunning mixing, and execution. I have a feeling that “The Spaces” harbors a fiery rock energy. Powerful lyrics, saturated with poignant tones, transport the listener into a world of passion and strength. Skies Behind infused each track with a meaning as strong as steel and a rhythm that makes the heart beat in sync. Let’s take a closer look at what these guys offer and what the fuss is all about with “The Spaces.”

The EP opens with a light intro, “Solace,” which subtly hints at what to expect from Skies Behind with its cosmic sound. However, the main story unfolds with the track “Red Eyes,” in which the protagonist realizes internal pain and confronts it, trying to somehow survive, somehow live, somehow cope. This internal struggle and pain are accentuated by powerful guitar riffs, fierce percussion, and stunning vocals that pierce the soul and turn everything upside down. The ease of the keys intertwines with gentle and stirring phrases, but then immediately crashes down like a hurricane, an unstoppable whirlwind of rock music. Then, the track “I Love It” seems to invite you to look around and see the society in which one needs to be perfect.
However, Skies Behind challenge established norms, break free from pressure, and completely shatter boundaries. This approach is evident in a track that, like an anthem with bright hooks and stunning vocals, urges you to be yourself. It’s as if the intimacy and melancholy of the track “Seven Months” allow you to retreat into your quiet corner, homely and cozy, surrounded only by loved ones. How important are they in the struggle against inner demons? Skies Behind tackle this complex theme, answering unequivocally, with powerful choruses and emotions that overflow.
In the middle of the EP, we encounter “Harmony Interlude” with synth inserts leaning almost towards techno-house sounds, featuring cold keys and deep bass, aiming to completely captivate every listener, hinting that everything has changed, and a new chapter in life is now beginning. From the track “So Many Ways,” nostalgia is captured through a groovy arrangement, and the open and free vocals move towards a commercial sound, creating a cinematic sense of freedom and hope. The main character of the EP looks back and now embraces his new life, loved ones, and the future that has opened its arms to him. “The Spaces” concludes with the track “CSB,” one of the most powerful and intense on the album. In this track, light keys, guitars, and synths converge into one space, blending pop-rock vocals with powerful screams. It’s divine! Recognizing oneself as part of the world with all its absurdity, the main character of the EP is ready to face his destiny, and I am even a little sad to say goodbye to this release.
This is a very powerful release where meanings merge with perfect execution, making it one of the most memorable releases. I recommend everyone to listen to these tracks, get inspired, and immerse themselves in the perfect world of heavy sound that flows in the veins of the musicians. “The Spaces” is available on all digital platforms, and you can also attend Skies Behind concerts to seize the moment and enjoy high-quality, stylish, and powerful rock.
