UBU is a brotherhood united in their creativity and memories. Led by two outstanding musicians, Mattia Mercuriali and Marco Trinchillo, the UBU project was destined for great achievements. However, as is often the case in life, fate had unforeseen trials in store for them.
Prior to the release of their long-awaited album, the collective lost one of its captains, Marco Trinchillo. At the age of 41, his heart ceased to beat forever. This blow proved devastating for UBU, but they decided to continue their work, paying tribute to the memory of their friend and musician. Their final album, released after this tragedy, is imbued with grief yet at the same time exudes majestic reverence for life. One of the most powerful tracks on this album is “Over” feat. FRNQ.
Listening to “Over,” it seems that the world around is immersed in a kind of ambiguity. The bright and memorable rhythm creates an atmosphere of sensuality and joy, while the vocal line sounds so personal and intimate that it instantly evokes a slight sense of melancholy. The blend of light acoustic vocals with refined commercial arrangements and subtle synth elements makes it one of the most memorable tracks on the album. If “Over” captures your attention, then the full album by UBU is definitely worth your time. Each track on this album offers a completely unique sound, full of experiments and creative depth.
