The Australian scene, with its multicultural and experimental nature, has become a cradle for many remarkable musical projects. In this arena, where everyone seeks their unique path, LAVELIN stands out as a figure who has already managed to capture attention and bring a fresh perspective to pop music.
Amidst musical ideas that often seem like reinterpretations of the familiar, LAVELIN’s debut EP “Forget About Us” is a vivid exception. This release has already attracted attention on the Australian art scene, and now LAVELIN aims to captivate a global audience. Her first major release is imbued with hypnotic sounds and tinged with shades of pink haze, creating a unique sonic world where each track is a separate chapter of LAVELIN’s life story.

When you simply look at the cover of “Forget About Us,” you can see the individuality of LAVELIN, and her expressive eyes convey emotions that many of us share. What is especially valuable is how the record has managed to capture the spirit of the times. In a world where many of us feel uncertainty and a yearning for something new, LAVELIN offers music that resonates like a universal parable. The EP’s four tracks are stories of loss, love, fear, and hope, crafted into light and captivating sounds.
Every note and word in “Forget About Us” is deliberately chosen to touch the deep strings of the soul. LAVELIN has mastered the art of saying a lot with few words, transforming thoughts into music, and this talent is most evident when you listen to the EP as a whole.
In the track “Blind,” sensual beats and light synth keys blend incredibly stylishly. It’s as if LAVELIN has come from a new world, where her misty, hypnotic vocals merge with the swaying arrangement. This creates a new listening experience, deep and sensual. LAVELIN tells the story of a pixie dream girl, and what it’s like to be perfect but not human. Then in the track “Addicted,” the light synth-pop sound merges with LAVELIN’s bright pop vocals. Her voice gains strength and passion, and this track instantly charges with incredible energy. A vibrant summer track about infatuation and love radiates warmth through stylish chords and a deep sound.

I love how the track “Forget About Us” reveals the complex nature of LAVELIN. She seems to speak directly to each listener, erasing boundaries. Bright guitars and a slowly building rhythm make this track powerful and immediately impactful. It’s perhaps the most commercial track on the album, perfect for radio, and it will undoubtedly grab you instantly.
“Shed” is a powerful conclusion to the EP. The march, energy, and passion represent a rebirth and the emergence of a new version of oneself. I love how the beginning, with its fantasies and dreamy pixie vibes, transitions into a powerful beat and passionate message. I admit, this is my favorite track on the EP due to its moody atmosphere and LAVELIN’s memorable vocals.
Sometimes it’s hard to find something truly meaningful in the stream of modern music. Her EP “Forget About Us” delivers brilliant songs and presents a whole cycle of rebirth and transformation of her own perspectives.
In the ever-expanding ocean of modern music, it can often be a daunting task to find something that truly resonates with the soul, something that reaches deep within and stirs the emotions in a meaningful way. But every so often, an artist like LAVELIN emerges, offering a breath of fresh air that cuts through the noise. Her latest EP, “Forget About Us,” is a prime example of this rare phenomenon. It’s not just about the brilliant performance but the sincerity with which she conveys her experiences and thoughts. This EP is like a heartfelt conversation that leaves a warm aftertaste and the desire to listen to it over and over again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a genuine, heartfelt musical experience that goes beyond the ordinary. “Forget About Us” is an EP that deserves to be savored, appreciated, and listened to with an open heart.
