Hear It First: An Exclusive Preview of Lounna’s ‘Alpenglow’ Before the Release

You now have the chance to get an exclusive listen to Lounna’s new single, Alpenglow, two days before its official release. This track is from her much-anticipated album Garden for Winter, which faced delays after her husband’s Burkitt Lymphoma diagnosis in January 2024. It’s been a tough year for her, to say the least.

But even in the midst of hardship, Lounna gave us a glimpse of what was to come with her single ‘Peak Season’ back in February. It was a beautiful song that left many of us wanting more. If ‘Peak Season’ was a beacon, ‘Alpenglow’ is a sunset over a hazy horizon – elusive, beautiful, but with a tinge of sadness that you can’t quite shake.

The song is about holding onto those fleeting, magical moments from the past, those times that seem to exist almost outside of reality. Maybe it’s a relationship, maybe it’s something from your childhood, but either way, there’s a certain peace in staying connected to that feeling, even when life moves on.

The song itself isn’t trying to fix you, or offer up some kind of moral lesson. It’s more like a shoulder to lean on. Delaying the release of ‘Garden for Winter’? That’s just Lounna making sure she’s ready to offer that shoulder. She knows this album is personal, and for it to resonate, she needs to be in the right headspace. And if ‘Alpenglow’ is any indication of what’s to come, she’s working on something deeply reflective, something that takes its time to marinate. Something that, when it finally does bloom, will be worth the wait.
