amy g. dala Messes With Your Mind—Bram Bancroft Blurs Reality Like Never Before!

Bram’s voice penetrates deep within, whispering on the verge of audibility, it’s singing on the brink of a nervous breakdown, of weeping. The guitars sound like distant thunder, bass pulsations resemble a heartbeat trying to piece itself back together. Listening to amy g. dala, I feel as if I’m in a fog where each step reveals new shades of emotions. It’s a psychedelic experience without the need for any stimulants.

I love how the track makes you think, feel, experience. It doesn’t follow the beaten path, avoiding clichés and predictability. In amy g. dala, all of Bancroft’s obsessions converge to show how easily we used to get away before. This puzzle, it seems, isn’t meant to be solved. Its logic is dictated by nothing but music—the language Bram Bancroft uses to converse with the world.

So, what can be said in the end? The purpose of this strange, not for a second realistic song is to break through illusions to reality, however subjective it may seem. And why not? After all, for Bancroft, the only genuine reality is the internal one. I must confess straight away: I didn’t entirely understand what the song is about, but I don’t regret it in the slightest—it’s still one of the most stunning, hypnotic tracks of this month. An absolute must-listen!
