Norway’s own spectral songstress Tuva Hellum Marschhäuser, aka Tuvaband, is back. And I mean back in that way where the music just kicks in your door, stares at you with glowing eyes, and throws your emotional equilibrium into the fjord.
This new single, Galloping Chest, is… kind of unhinged. In the best way. Tuva’s voice here is fragile and raw, but delivered with this cracked confidence, like someone singing through a panic attack and using it as fuel. The phrasing is weird. The delivery is off-kilter.

It sounds wrong and right at the same time, and that tension? That’s the magic. That’s what makes this track hit harder than most “well-produced” pop songs with six-figure budgets.
Verdict: it’s unpolished and uneasy and entirely unforgettable. Tuvaband is out here making the kind of music that reminds you art can still be weird and wild and hit like a truck.
SCORE 9.5/10
It’s messy, chaotic, and a little feral. I love it.
