Jewelles Imani. New name. New song. New genre. ‘LABELS‘ marks her first step into the pop rock arena, and she’s walking in wearing crocs, oversized sunglasses, and a “don’t talk to me unless you have emotional clarity” energy.
‘LABELS’ is a pop cut that leans into that talky, cheeky delivery we’ve seen bubbling up post-COVID, where everyone’s either over it or too self-aware to pretend otherwise. Jewelles wraps the whole thing around the idea of being done with casual situationships.

Vocally Jewelles doesn’t go for powerhouse runs or big dramatic moments. It’s conversational. Light. Sometimes deadpan. And that works in her favor. She’s aiming more for attitude and aesthetic than virtuosity, and the song’s personality punches through because of it.
SCORE 7/10
Jewelles Imani has something to say, says it with a smirk, and packages it in a way that’s catchy enough to land, but weird enough to remember.
