Where can you more fully and accurately convey your feelings, thoughts, and hopes from love? It’s in the sphere of arts. It’s proven that many artists in this field could only create their masterpieces after experiencing love. Rising star Mia Delamar is no exception. She’s only 26 years old, but she has already successfully attracted attention and earned the love of the public.
Her new debut album “Love Me… Not” is a unique journey into feelings, revealing the nuances of love and relationships in the modern world: from that feeling when you fall in love to ending with pain, sadness, hope, and realization – everything has passed, nothing can be brought back after a breakup, and you need to move on, no matter how hard it might be. An interesting concept that kept me in a kind of suspense throughout the entire album. The special charm of this album: the tracks can simultaneously be “read” both as a relationship between two people and as a kind of guide to one’s relationship with oneself (this especially applies to the last tracks on the album).

You absolutely must listen to “Into You” – the first track opening the album by Mia Delamar. It’s full of energy and hope. This song is an excellent musical illustration of a person’s state of mind when they’re just falling in love and ready to do anything to make the relationship develop as quickly as possible. Mia Delamar’s vocals only emphasize this energy and speed. In some places, she even speeds up a bit, making you involuntarily move faster to the beat of the melody and lyrics.
The next track “Whatever” – stands out for its lightness, a certain airiness with small inclusions of sharp notes. This track is a continuation of a light romance when a couple is just getting used to each other. There’s still no complete trust between them, but there are small quarrels over insignificant matters, but this doesn’t overshadow the joy and happiness from love that exists in the couple. Mia Delamar’s vocals here are soft, you could even say tender with a light sharpness to designate or even emphasize the small difficulties in the relationship.
“Anyway” – a combination of tenderness and speed. Here, Mia Delamar seems to demonstrate through music that on one hand, she enjoys the romance, feelings, and her chosen one, but on the other – she wants the relationship to develop faster, move to a new level, and add a bit more passion. At first, everything is soft and calm, and then a fast and sharp “wave” suddenly rolls in, making you look around in bewilderment to understand what’s happening. This song has a strong emphasis on Mia’s vocals – it sounds really cool.
Pay special attention to the track “Personal” – smooth, soft, as if enveloping with protection and emphasizing that there’s no place here for quarrels and scandals over trifles. Mia Delamar’s vocals in this track are filled with tenderness and gratitude to her partner for allowing her to experience such a feeling, helping to build trust at this level. You can also feel hope for future relationships that will only grow stronger over time. And that no troubles will destroy them.
“Cool – Mimix” – shifts the focus from relationships to the person themselves. Here, Mia Delamar raises and partially reveals the theme of personal significance and value, which is so important for every person. After all, without this, it’s simply impossible to build normal, full-fledged relationships between two people. The soft and tender melody at the beginning of the track is a suitable kind of background that softens quite heavy information and allows it to be more easily understood, accepted, and thought about regarding changes in one’s own life. Closer to the middle, harsher notes appear, emphasizing the importance of the theme. Mia Delamar’s vocals show that yes, she can play hard, and it really suits her.

The next track “Alright” – is like a strong gusty wind: the melody is fast, partly sharp, standing out from the entire album. Literally from the first seconds, the track grabs your attention and doesn’t let go. In this track, Mia Delamar uniquely grows and rises above her past, realizing all her value and importance. And that quarrels with a loved one aren’t the end of the world; there’s no need to break and remake yourself according to someone else’s standards. Mia Delamar’s vocals in this track amaze with their strength and sharpness. You can feel the pain from the contradictory desire to both preserve the relationship and protect herself. And this pain makes it clear: the final decision to remain herself and find her own path wasn’t easy at all.
“I know” – is contradictory. On one hand, the track is full of energy, making you move to the beat of the music, forgetting about everything around you. But on the other hand, it’s full of pain and regrets that the performer can’t fully let go. This contradiction attracts and holds you. Mia Delamar managed to combine what’s difficult to combine in one place: energy, pain from everything happening, and the remnant of love and passion for her partner.
You know, when I first heard Mia Delamar’s “Love Me… Not,” it was as if someone looked directly into my soul and described all those feelings I couldn’t even properly formulate. It’s an entire story of one couple’s relationship or even one person’s relationship with themselves. Yes, you can listen to the tracks separately, depending on your mood, but the effect won’t be quite the same. It’s best to listen to the album completely to fully feel those emotions and feelings that Mia Delamar embedded when working on the tracks. For me personally, both the entire album and each individual track are small treasures that make you think deeply about life and about what to do next to minimize whatever pain there might be.
Mia Delamar managed to transform her experience into something beautiful. Yes, there’s pain and sadness on the album, but the album doesn’t leave a feeling of hopelessness. On the contrary – you feel that through art, you can experience and process any emotions. It’s interesting to see in which direction her creativity will develop, what new facets of her soul she’ll reveal. After such a strong debut statement, expectations are high, of course, but I have complete confidence that she won’t disappoint us.
