Taija New’s “Fallen” Confirms What We Already Knew: She’s a Star

Taija New channels heartbreak into constellation on “Fallen,” a soft rock meditation on impermanence that transforms the star metaphor into visceral reality. Co-written with Jermord Chavis II and produced by Angelo Quaglia, the track unfolds with cathedral-sized ambition—reverb-soaked guitars, patient string arrangements, and drums that pulse like gradually quickening breath.

Quaglia’s production recalls Fleetwood Mac’s sweeping epics while Taija’s vocals favor emotional transparency, allowing vulnerability to dictate every phrase. Created for the PLIGHT soundtrack, the song refuses easy consolation, proposing instead that we hold both the beauty of connection and the agony of its ending simultaneously.

Where contemporary balladeers often whisper confessions, Taija reaches for something classicist—devastation rendered in full technicolor.

“Fallen” dares to unfold slowly, trusting listeners to sit with discomfort. The star burns, falls, and in that watching, we find grace.
