“Girl In Ibiza,” released March 13 via Crash Your Sound / Universal Music, arrives with an origin story tailor-made for the platform era: Joshua Baraka, Kampala-born vocalist riding the momentum of his breakout hit “Dalilah,” posted a studio clip of himself humming a melody on TikTok.
WITH U caught it, rebuilt the idea in their DAW, posted a reaction. Baraka responded. The track exists because two algorithms crossed paths at the right moment — and because the people behind them had the instinct to act fast. The production settles into a mid-tempo Afro house groove, bright synths rolling over tight percussion while Baraka’s vocal floats above with the easy confidence of someone singing through a half-remembered summer night.

The hook sticks on first listen. The arrangement breathes where it needs to, never cluttered, never reaching for a climax it hasn’t earned. It’s a rooftop record, a sunset-set closer, a song that knows exactly what it wants to be and commits fully. Summer will decide the rest.
