Orange Oak have released a new single ‘well, well, well’, another chapter in their carefully constructed sonic universe. The Swedish duo Filippa Frisell and Erik Olsson have long worked at the intersection of indie folk and chamber pop, where the main focus is emotion.

In recent years, Orange Oak have organically grown an international audience and accumulated an impressive number of streams, while preserving the aesthetic of quiet, almost intimate sincerity.
The new release ‘well, well, well’ continues this line and at the same time hints at a more defined stage of their career, with a series of singles and a debut EP on Nettwerk ahead. ‘well, well, well’ is built on the duo’s familiar minimalist base: transparent acoustics, soft textures, and a vocal that leads the listener along. This is the strong side of Orange Oak, leaving space for pauses and what is left unsaid. Recommended!
