I especially love the way the guitar sounds in this song: fierce plucks that match the emotional moments in the track, and shimmering trills in the transitional sections, all in the finest traditions of country music. The drums create a swaying effect, reminiscent of a ride on a steampunk train along colorful prairies and bungalows.

Annika Catharina’s voice is rich and deep, with a pleasant huskiness, and at times high and drawn out. It does not create a sense of fragility, yet it carries no aggression either. Her singing style is smooth and emotional. The song will fit perfectly into a road trip soundtrack. I will definitely be replaying ‘You and Me’ and looking forward to new releases from Annika Catharina! Highly recommended!
