Jordan Sand has released Baby with the Sail, the first song from her upcoming album Baby Ghost.
What we have here is deep, gripping ambient music that runs for almost seven minutes. The instrument that sets the tone and immerses us in the atmosphere of a sand-covered ancient world is the double bass. Another instrument is the singer’s own voice, which complements the atmosphere beautifully. Her voice is equally deep, captivating and piercing. Sand and her instruments deliver monologues and enter into conversation with one another, sometimes even out of sync. Yet these strange fragments come together to form a complete picture.
