Ellen Pub is the project of Peruvian singer, guitarist and producer Eliseo Paiva, whose independent career has developed across Peru, Mexico and the United States. Taken from “ELEMENTAL,” “Quiero LIGAR y NO PUEDO” finds him tackling the gap between wanting somebody and managing to start a conversation.
Attraction supplies the motivation; nerves make a mess of the execution. Guitar, bass, drums and voice form the arrangement’s foundation, giving that awkwardness a direct alternative-rock setting.

Paiva gives a familiar subject a useful emotional scale: one attempted connection, with plenty happening inside the person attempting it. That focus suits the instrumental approach. The song’s strongest idea is recognisable: desire can be straightforward while expressing it becomes the evening’s most demanding task.
